OK so now I am on a browser on a computer that supports javascript; unfortunately I'm at work and can only use explorer.

And KH: They call that pink zinfandel stuff "white zinfandel." I'm sure there's a reason. I've been known to drink it now and again, much to the embarrassment of my better-educated and more tasteful companions. I've also been apprehended putting ice cubes into certain red wines, which I find sometimes improves them. Sometimes I find I regret it.

Let's see if I can get through the spamulator gauntlet.

I think you have lots of ways that you can tweak SK2, but I'm only just getting to grips with it myself. I daresay you have plenty of experienced commenters who can offer assistance, but if not, very happy to wade through the options with you.

Aksimet now deployed. No spam has survived. Although Spam Karma 2 did not like that Alphabitch's browser doesn't support javascript, and stuck her in the penalty box accordingly.

I have been running Akismet for a few months. It seems to get most of the nonsense, though it did catch one legit comment.

But that pesky 213 IP always seemed to get by Akismet. I just installed Spam Karma 2 and blacklisted it. We'll see.

Spam Karma 2 was just recommended to me over Akismet (but it incorporates some of Akismet's lists or something techy). We have had no proboem with spam getting through, but we have had 2-3 commenters that constantly run afoul of it, and they get nailed. Akismet does make it easy to dig them out though (basically it shows you one example of the 300 or so from the same IP, so even if you have 500 new spams, odds are there are really only 4-5, thus false positives are easy to retrieve- this is a huge plus). I just signed up for a WordPress free blog to get the key to use Akismet with K2. My pal just sent the link for Spam Karma 2.

<a href="http://wp-plugins.net/plugin/SK2/" rel="nofollow">here it is</a>. I will try it soon. There is this one, what are they 213.33.whatever? They are the worst. It is like the goddamned home of patriarchy.

The Pommery Pop Pink is not as sweet as some might think; rose champagne differs from the pink wine stuff called--what's it called again? Pink zinfandel, is that it? Whatever. I love those Pop champagnes. I usually drink too many, and I don't actually call myself a champagne fan. Though I have been craving a kir royale lately.

Anyway, spam stinks.
