It is with a tear in my duct that I announce the demise of nested comments on I Blame the Patriarchy. We had some good times, though, didn’t we, before it became an untenable mess?
I need to be alone now.

Should we celebrate the too-brief flame, or mourn its extinction? Television has taught me that all endings — be they of films, lives, or even World Series — deserve the same accompaniment, which I offer here to grieve for nested comments:
I will remember you

WIll you remember me?

Don’t let your life pass you by

Weep not for the memories
I think this is supposed to provide closure.

I didn’t see it as messy but you’re the owner and you decide.
Enjoy the tranquility. I love this blog and am so glad I found it. You have helped me through a difficult time in my life (I won’t elaborate), and I thank you.
That’s a shame. Nested comments allow readers to feel engaged in the discussion like nothing else. Even if incidences of abuse seem to happen, it makes your blog look uber-popular!
I only read this for the updates on Stanley anyway.

As someone upthread stated, nesting is overrated.

Nested comments mean someone can comment and LOOK like they’ve mentioned a topic/aspect of the topic first, when really someone mentioned it earlier but farther down the page because they didn’t use reply. Also one knows exactly which comments they’ve read if one is careful (everything above one’s comment has been read).

It really was not all that bad. We are just glad you are healthy.

What is this thing?
You are reading I Blame The Patriarchy, the patriarchy-blaming blog that has been advancing the radical feminist views of Twisty Faster since 2004.
I Blame The Patriarchy is intended for advanced patriarchy-blamers. It is not a feminist primer. See Patriarchy-Blaming the Twisty Way for details.
The crushing demands of patriarchy blaming have necessitated that the blog be updated less frequently than in days of yore. Posts may or may not appear, sporadically. Readers may experience crappier than usual customer service. Please don't send emails expressing dissatisfaction with the moderation process; I am already aware that it is imperfect. Meanwhile, hang tight. Regular blaming, conforming to your exacting standards, will probably resume sooner or later.

Oh no. I abused the nested commentationing, didn’t I? It’s my fault. Damn. I hate it when I can’t blame the patriarchy.

It’s just as well; I’m apparently not technologically advanced enough to have used it properly.
And I caught myself just in time to avoid an elipsis!

What are nested comments? As long as the blog remains, I’m happy. I love this blog.

I thought nesting was mandatory for women? Should we be threatening the very foundation of civilization itself by this reckless act of rebellion?
