Post Reproduction

Q: I totally agree with your brilliant analysis! Should I reproduce your post in its entirety on my own blog?

A: I can’t stop you, but, you know, what the fuck? Write your own post. This is what separates discourse from cutting and pasting.

When you quote me or anyone else, or when you paraphrase me or anyone else, or when you copy one of my photographs, videos or audio files, or the photographs, videos, or audio files of anybody else, you must cite the source. If you don’t (and, in some cases, even if you do), you are stealing.

When republishing my work (or the work of the Blametariat in the comments section), your attribution must contain the words “I Blame the Patriarchy,” which is the title of this blog. You must also link directly to the post page that contains the content you are appropriating, and to the Creative Commons license described in the link below. If you don’t, you are stealing.

Just so we’re clear, that’s two links. One linking back here, one linking to the Creative Commons license.

If, when you republish my work, you also edit and/or reformat it in such a manner as to potentially alter its original meaning — that is, you add or remove text, punctuation, line breaks, links, italics, diacritical marks, etc — you must indicate this in your attribution.

The original content of this blog is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license. Please click the link to see what this means.

And that’s all there is to it!
